"Nothing Was The Same, head in the clouds...I think this record is another sort of mixed bag for Drake. I think there are tracks on here that have...despite them being a little cringy, like Starter From The Bottom, in retrospect, they're still fun songs. But as I say that, some of Drake's worst bars are on this record, some of his most boring songs are on this record...that Wu Tang Forever song is boring as hell, that other track...'Mothafuckas never loved us!' Drake sounds goofy as hell on that song, I don't think he's ever sounded goofier on a song. Uh, so I think Drake has some great ideas here and there on this project, but then he comes through with tracks that are very weak, sort of makes you want to implode from how unlikeable he comes off on some of these tracks, and the production I think is a little bit blander than it was on Take Care. I think the sound of Nothing Was The Same is not quite as focused or as unique as it was on that project. Um, not really sure what to say beyond this one. You know I guess Drake did have some other big tracks on this one like 'Hold on, we're goin' home' and...but I dunno, I always thought that was one of his weaker songs, always thought that the music video attached to that track was terrible. Not really a huge fan of this project despite how big it was, arguably even bigger than Take Care was when it initially dropped, but over the years I don't think it's quite as interesting, I don't think it's held up as well, but I would still put it in the C category. You know, it's an okay album, it's not Drake's worst worst worst project, but you know...it's not all that great, either."
