I will never understand why this song has such high acclaim even on this site

>>127080530 (OP)It’s simplistic pop music done right
I have to agree OP I always thought Coldplay was boring.
I agree but only in the sense that yellow is one of the weaker songs on the album. Their second album is much better anyway. Clocks is one of the most brilliant songs ever written. Fantastic music to cheat on your wife to
>>127080552wdym indians love coldplay because they think if they listen to them they'll be able to fuck chris martin's gf. yeah idgi either
>>127080771pretty sure it's nigs who hate coldplay, so yeah you're one lol
>>127080530 (OP)you had to be there. the world was a simpler place.
>>127080530 (OP)I have an irrational hatred for Sky Full of Shit
I was listening to one of their latests that was playing in the radio and I felt annoyed by how sellout, crowd pleasing, engagement whoring and Radiohead ripoff they are, yet some of the early stuff like the first record and this song are incredibly fine, why? I don't know, it just is.
>>127082581There's some decent Mum Rock on those first couple of albums, good music to drive to or play at a barbecue or something.
>>127082561Too many to name nowadays
Once you've heard their songs once you've heard everything. No subtleties, no details. Always predictable. You already know how one tune will end before the next one has started. They will never surprise you. They are not a creative band, but they are a pretty one. I loved Clocks and In My Place and Shiver when I first heard them, but I never need to hear them again. Anything past Rush of Blood to the Head just puts me to sleep.
>>127082310for me, it's Someshit Just Like Piss
>>127084110Parachutes puts me to sleep. X&Y is mogs
>>127084285>X&Y is mogsI see
what's the best song on it?
>>127080530 (OP)It's literally the most popular song of 2000s on spotify
>>127084420you've probably heard Talk and Speed of Sound.
i'd go with Square One or White Shadows
>>127080530 (OP)Coldplay were just victims of their own success, so it became edgy and trendy to dislike them.
The Coldplay demographic is basically just kids and middle aged women, even my sister who's in college now listens to more indie/alternative rock music.
>>127080530 (OP)I like him because he's old but not too old, 49 and I enjoy his circle of friends because I am bougie.
