I’ve listed to Paranoid Android to death and now it doesn’t even come to my mind if I think about my favourite OK Computer songs. I think I’ve milked the song completely dry

What are some similar tones like the solo? Anything really, not just Radiohead. I can't name something similar atm but I know that's the type of sound you can only really get out of a distorted Telecaster

my fav from OKC is Subterranean Homesick Alien, then Paranoid Android because I like prog a ton and the song itself is some of the best prog out there, learning it on piano right now. Radiohead could've made more songs like that, unfortunately we are probably not getting anything similar to it. other songs like The Tourist, Let Down and No Surprises are awesome as well, but nowhere near my absolute favs (The Tourist comes close because I like le jazz ballad feel of it)

I feel Radiohead is a great band because they're influenced from all over the place and they genuinely like music. they also know what is a perfect song and how should a perfect song be structured, and composed, and everything. they kinda let go of it after Amnesiac and even Kid A and Amnesiac had a few serious duds in that area. AMSP was a bit of a rebirth but they still pushed it into that dissonant territory

Same. It's been my favorite song since 2007 until like 2015 or something when I've listened to it so many times it only sounds like white noise now. Strange because I've listened to a handful of songs as many times as it and they still sound fresh
