Great stage presence and cool basslines. Nothing real groundbreaking but not bad obviously

He came up with the idea of covering Love Buzz which gave Nirvana the first breakthrough on the local scene.

He also had a huge record collection which I suppose gave Cobain a lot of material to get inspired from.
Somehow he also once let Cobain destroy a part of that collection, after they both got stoned and Cobain threw a fit and said you shouldn't have records by Eagles, Carpenters, Yes, Joni Mitchell in the house. So I guess he owed Kris a lot.

And he got some songwriting credits here and there: Teen Spirit, Sliver, Big Cheese, Dive.
Occasionally he was Cobain's bodyguard when the primadonna got into a kerfuffle due to his fits of temper

iirc with the song credits, Kurt was being a bit of a Jew with royalties by making his cut bigger all of the sudden. Their were some arguments so Courtney convinced Kurt to let Dave and Krist have co-writing credits on their biggest song to quell it

I like him, because there was never a chance for bereft female millennial simps to put him on a pedestal like they did with Dave and thus become a victim of their brainless ideations

Dave was Super Saintly Husbando Material #1 One of the Good Ones until he had that child with a much younger woman (which was more the issue than the child out of wedlock.) and so now Dave is """cancelled""" and honestly I'm very happy a cool dude like Krist was able to avoid all that faggotry

When I was 14 and had just started playing, we all though it was some seriously flash shit for a bassist to play. I guess it was relative to the rest of their songs.

It's still a great bassline just nowhere near the difficulty level we once thought were. It gives a false impression of being more complex to play than it really is to anyone who isn't experienced with bass.
