create good original songs that resonate with people (or at least yourself), don't worry about music genres. classification is a completely secondary and subjective parameter with no inherent artistic value.

I think there are no more genres left, we have been stagnating since the 90s. Grunge was the last real genre.

people will create fresh genres classification for a given piece of work if it's interesting and long-lasting enough. it will create its own context retroactively. i'd venture to say all pieces of work that are contemporaneously considered to be the breakthrough of a given ''new genre'' were originally thought to be part of an already-existing genre when it was released.
