>>127090155IIRC ELO's manager at the time knew Roy had some creative differences with Jeff and knew Roy had the talent to carry his own band, so he goaded him into leaving. Roy still ended up being fairly successful (apparently that Wizzard Christmas song is/was very popular in Britain) but nowhere near ELO's level. At the same time, ELO probably wouldn't have gotten as popular as they did if Roy will still part of it. Amazing songwriter for the short time he was there. Whisper in the Night is easily in my top 10 ELO songs. Fantastic solo work too.
