Just listen to a 15 second loop of the part in “Money for Nothing” when the intro ends and the guitar riff starts, on repeat for 2-3 hours at a time.

The first album is perfect. The must listens into Communiqué are Once Upon a Time in the West, Where Do You Think You’re Going, Single Handed Sailor, and Lady Writer. After the first two albums they just don’t match how great they were on the debut, with the exception of Telegraph Road and Money for Nothing.

Spot on though Money for Nothing is such an obvious and admitted ZZ Top pastiche that I think of as a weird novelty hit.

So Far Away. I have a very specific memory of this song. Late 1990s I was with my dad and brother at Sunlite Pool in Cincinnati. One of the largest in ground circulating pools in the country (demolished a few years ago). It was a gorgeous sunny day like in pic and I had just gotten out of the pool to drink a Coke and eat a piece of pizza and that song was blaring throughout the speakers around the water park. It fuckin hurts thinking about it now

I ve been told from impeccable sources it was a result from jamming sessions before concerts.
