of any cult music base Nick Cave is probably the one I respect and understand the least, hes scarcely "soulful" he is really full of himself at least on the surface, the music can have energy but rarely enough, the instrumentals themself seem generic no matter which of the random styles the albums happen to be, sure Ive heard that red hand song enough times now I almost like it. Big Bone Machine fan by the way
