Yes it's true, back in 2015 when i first started posting on /mu/ The Beatles were hated. I was shocked seeing so many anons trash talking The Beatles back then.
I am happ that has changed in the meantime, and now The Beatles are loved also on /mu/

The Beatles were not hated, we just didn't give a shit about them, sometimes there would be a Beatles thread but they were pretty rare. In order for this board to actively hate the Beatles would imply any Beatles discussion was actually happening which it really wasn't, we were too far up our own ass in /mu/core to really give a shit a about them either way. I think it wasn't until we started talking about Beach Boy's Pet Sounds that we also started talking about the Beatles more because of the inevitable comparisons between the two bands the ensued but the overall concensus still wasn't hatred or outright worship, those are two retarded generalizations to make. Reminder that /mu/ is not one person (oldfags remember)
