Should I get the AirPods Pro 2 or Sony XM4 for around the same price?

Can't say about the over ears but I've got the WF 1000XM5 earbuds, really good set once I worked out that in the settings app you counterintuitively turn off the setting to prevent stuttering if you want to prevent stuttering, switches the codec from aac to ldac which is more stable.
Idk, are you primarily going to be hooking it up to an Apple or an Android? If iOS get the Airpods probably

Dunno about AirPods as I don't really like earbuds. However, I've got some XM3s and they're fucking lovely.

oh shit, i'll give that a try - mine keep dropping the connection to the right earbud when i turn my head but if i put my phone in my right pocket it's the left one that drops the connection

Yeah this one, stable connection switches the codec to aac which randomly robots and drops out for half a second, best quality is ldac which you get the very very occasionally stutter but the connection is wayyyyyy better

only fags buy apple, are you a fag?

Sony make the best in ear and earphones on the market. Does that answer your question? Get the WF-C500 or WF1000. The first are cheaper and have no noise canceling, but they are REALLY FUCKING GOOD, much better than faggy apple products. The latter are more expensive and have more features, including noise canceling, you don't really need most, but if you want the best of the best those are for you.

Neither. Active noise cancellation is the biggest meme in consumer audio. It’s an absolute scam that undermines sound quality in exchange for poor isolation. If you 100% must have a set of phones that blocks out noise (really only necessary if you need them while riding on trains or buses), then get a set of IEMs with passive noise cancellations like Etymotics.

If you just need headphones for home use, you can buy the Drop/Sennheiser HD6XX (identical driver and housing to the HD650) for the same price as the AirPods or Sonys and it will sound 5x better.
