i admit that vocalist and guitar player are good but why do y'all glaze the aerosmith so much?

metalica is much heavier and has better ballads

Saying that Metallic have been cringe since the 90s, so both were only good for about a decade in their infancy.

Metallica is better than Aerosmith, but I would never even think to compare them.
Aerosmith is a funk raunchy hard rock band with great guitar solos and doesn't need to take itself too seriously. Nothing to hate

Not even their fans think their post-70s albums are relevant in any way. Rocks, Toys in the Attic, and Get Your Wings are the albums people who like Aerosmith listen to.

Rocks is the 70s hard rock masterpiece you didn’t mention. They basically became a singles top 40 band after 1985. The Run DMC collaboration made them steer hard into pop music away from AOR and we got some decent (albeit overproduced) tracks like Janie’s Got a Gun and Living on the Edge. They haven’t been relevant since the Armageddon soundtrack.

What does overproduced mean and why is it only ever used as a negative against rock music?

Permanent Vacation and Pump are pretty good. 25 years of relevance is better than pretty much any band has achieved.

Sweet emotion alone mogs everything Metallic did. Including One, which is by far the best song from Metallica

Compared to their earliest albums which were almost raw, it’s when guys like Rick Rubin, Bruce Fairbairn, Mutt Lange, Don Was took 70s hard rock bands and made them sound like Duran Duran. None of this means the music itself is bad it’s just a tone shift that comes across less sincere.

Steven Tyler is unarguably the greatest rock singer/frontman of all time.
