Why do hipsters love to overrate this album?

It's the last truly great Pink Floyd record.
>hurr durr u r hipster
whatever, don't care.

I defy you to name a greater 4-album run than Meddle - DSotM - WYWH - Animals

It's just a great album.

True, the Wall is good but nothing like this. Also I would say that Meddle is about tied with the Wall (maybe slightly better) but for entirely different reasons.

Meddle is better than Topographic Oceans and Relayer. Whether or not it's better than Fragile is subjective, but I'm leaning towards it being better. Pink Floyd doesn't have an album as good as Close to the Edge though.

it's the last Floyd album that feels like a band effort rather than Roger or David's solo project. also, it rocks harder than any of their previous efforts.

as much as I love Pink Floyd, Yes's golden age (from The Yes Album to Going for the One) is superior to them in every way
well, except lirically, of course

I think WYWH has the magic they wanted Animals to have. Not to say Animals is bad it's just not their best work.

I always get like 5 minutes into the 20 minute long song and I'm like hmm this is pretty but then I'm like oh wtf there's still 15 minutes left and I turn it off.

It's not an attention issue because I can listen to 40 minute versions of Sister Ray and The Last One no problem. Pink Floyd is just boring as hell.
