I love that every time he goes on tour most of the shows still sell out despite them having the reputation of being a shitty live band. And yes, I saw them a few years ago and it was alright. They even played all the songs from Vision Thing.

A very good album but I unironically hate This Corrosion. The full length version is just ridiculous and stupid sounding.
I heard some vid of a live performance from back in the day where it was done as more of a straight up rock song and it sounded good that way though, but the studio version repels me.

There's something weird with Eldritch and not releasing new songs but continually playing various new songs live. He said in interviews that he doesn't make music for anyone else except himself but I still wonder if that's an excuse, he says he's recorded stuff in his own time too.

There's nothing stopping him making some money by releasing even a few self recorded songs.

I also wonder if the reason Lucretia is lacking the bass riff live is something to do with a legal problem from back in the day. Seems like there's a lot of stuff like that surrounding the band.

It's a shame that the album after FALAA never happened. I know the lineup changed a bit before then but the one year when Wayne Hussey, Gary Marx and Craig Adams were all in the band was great and could have been something special. And we wouldn't have had Marian without Wayne Hussey either.

lets be honest the majority of singers/groups are only known for songs/albums from a very short point in time during their career. even if they are around for decades people dont really care about the new stuff as much as they care for the old stuff. its like guns n roses axl knows he cant make any memorable tunes anymore the time for that type of music has past so why bother. eldritch isnt going to get rich off of any new album now either so whats the point

I'd rather see the mission than the sisters these days just because Eldritch's voice seems to be completely non existent live, and when you can hear him he sounds like a broken coffee maker.
Maybe he's intentionally not trying to sing to be a prick or something, in any case it's sad to see.

I've seen them and they do. I like the album though. It's a pity the Fields of the Nephilim burned out because that was a British goth band who could put on a performance. They went through a lot of bags of flour. Or I guess they did play some shows recently. Hopefully they're good, you can get away with looking like Nosferatu in gothic rock.
