I've been listening to Judas on repeat while lifting lately. It's the best song ever made when it comes to pumping you up before doing a heavy set if I'm being honest with you.

Like Madonna or Mylene Farmer, she's enough of a psycho to escape the pop death that happens to other stars in their 30s (see Katy Perry). She works as a biomechanical soul eater.

Also pop music isn't really innovative in the music (which is formulaic) but in the aesthetics and performance of it. It's a more visual music genre.

There are so many Gaga songs I don't like that much but love to see her perform live. Abracadabra is one of them. Shit is on another level live. I honestly believe she writes half her songs with only the live performance in mind and not for casual listening. Felt the same way about Applause, like the song, but it's much better live. Also the Brazil concert was insane when you hear the entire crowd singing.

When they take off her red overcoat and there's the dress in Brazilian colors, you can hear the crowd scream so loud that it gets picked up by the mics before the main soundboard (I think?) picks it up a second later. I don't know how audio works.

Also people losing their shit here:

They heavily suppress crowds by isolating the mic and using special mixing when they film concerts. Did the same in Coachella, so you could barely hear the crowd even though people were screaming. But the Brazil concert had so many people that no amount of suppression was going to work. At 4:30 on the tiktok I posted you also hear the crowd when they take off her dress and they go insane. There was no way to edit that out of the final mix.

She is really talented, but her music is trash for soft, uninteresting people.
>>127123798
She emerged just when the global pop culture of Pax Americana started to break down due to handheld devices. Meaning that she was still able to pull millions upon millions of fans across the world, like the bigger stars before her could.

Edge of Glory, because it sounds like a Springsteen song.
