Hello, all. To protect my Identity, I am coming to you all through here to speak on my experiences with Tilian Pearson and my frustration with Rise Records. First and foremost, Tilian Pearson did infact assault women, and the women who came out, are not the only ones. There were nights on tour that Tilian would be wasted, showing back up around 3 in the morning bragging about how he could never "pull a bitch" as attractive as whomever he had chosen to pray on that night had it not been for Dance Gavin Dance. He would brag about getting women to do things they weren't comfortable with and while the band laughed it off, people like me were disgusted. Particularly it was Will who was always feeding the fire with him, borderline giving him suggestions on what to do to the next "bitch". Additionally, After the events following Tim's death, Tilian hired hefty lawyers to threaten the band and Rise with. He swore up and down that if they even breathe a word about the allegations that he would pull everyone down with him. A similar thing occurred when he was pushed away from the band, where the band had to convince him to take leave; at least until it all blows over. Tilian made sure to use his contract to be pulled into the band eventually, and made sure to show up to live shows. After each live show he attended he made sure to make little remarks about Andrew not being at his level; I specifically remember him hammered drunk walking up to Will and I after a show saying "Don't you see why you need me? He belongs in his place behind me." or something of that sort. Shortly after he was announced back into the band after many legal arguments, he would push for them to continue making music akin to Jackpot Juicer. He said he wanted less of Jon and Andrew because "the people" complained about it. The album that was supposed to follow would have been their lightest to date.
