How do I not get filtered by this album? Many people nowadays are treating it like a masterpiece. And it seems like the kind of album that could be a masterpiece, if that makes any sense. But instead I got filtered. It’s way too long and complicated and it fires off in a million different schizophrenic directions. I like some other Aphex Twin albums already but I don’t get this one. Wat do?

It's just nonsense. And the worst part are there are thousands of other copycat "IDM" musicians who just make the same sort of stuff, where they try to come up with the stupidest time signatures they can think of, and fill it full of borderline random off-beat drum/synth stabs.

There was a great interview with him where he agreed to do a remix for a really famous pop star, can't remember who.
He forgot about it, and the deadline arrived and they contacted him for the remix. He just handed them the first thing he found off the cutting room floor.

Idk man, just listen to it in the background while you’re doing something else. Enjoy the good bits like the 2nd track and the prepared piano joints. Even if you are filtered, you’re not missing that much. SAW 2 is the only thing RDJ released that Autechre didn’t do better.

get filtered by it and build some confidence. it isn't bad if you don't have the same taste as your fellow music friends, I don't like drukqs either except for a few songs (avril 14th, cock/ver10, kesson dalek, 54 cymru, mt saint michael, qkthr) which is 1/5th of its runtime and stuff like gwarek2 etc is just total trolling
