Rock and metal are spiritually masculine. Being a rockstar takes courage (numerous risks and challenges) which itself already selects for males, and males are more comfortable with high levels of aggression than females are because it's males' role to protect the females and their children which means facing aggression. Unlike for males for whom yelling and struggling can be quite a cathartic experience, females evidently don't experience this catharsis and only do it when they absolutely have to, and don't feel better afterwards.

For an interesting angle, try and find out if and why Sabina Classen from Holy Moses is banned from America. Offhand all I've also experienced was KK Null from Zeni Geva and again I don't know why or if they've let him back yet.
