Ozzy didn't do much besides surrounding himself with talented musicians. His voice was mid at best.

Tons of fags from other boards came to pay tribute and stuck around I guess. Thanks, Oz.

Zoomies finally have a reason to listen to Black Sabbath and have finally had their eyes opened to what real music sounds like.

as for me /mu/ used to be my main board 10-15 years ago, I discovered a lot of my favorite music here. I've been mostly on /a/ since then because /mu/ sucks now. it's hard to believe all that's talked about here is shitty western pop and kpop, I wonder if it's actually real people or just shills. but anyway obviously I just came back for Ozzy and I'll stick around until the board returns to its usual state.

>it's hard to believe all that's talked about here is shitty western pop and kpop, I
It's not just that but the big problem is just non stop autismal arguing. There's always been that but it's gotten increasingly worse.
The general threads are prime examples of this. General threads on any board become shit but on /mu/ it's as if all the generals think too ironic and cool to discuss what the thread is supposedly about. /gg/ being possibly the worst of them all.

+ slow traffic to the board makes all of this worse. Ozzy dying brought people who actually want to discuss music instead of posting unfunny memes over and over.

It helps that people who genuinely love/appreciate Sabbath and Ozzy automatically have at least somewhat decent taste and presumably know something about music

posers trying to build anonymous street cred by pretending that anything past the first couple of sabbath albums are actually listenable. ozzys solo career has triple the hits of sabbath
