You might alsolike the nearly forgotten Minneapolis group from the 1960s, The Litter.
I'd also make sure to keep The Music Machine and Standells on your radar.
Count V also does a good send up of The Yardbirds with Psychotic Reaction.
Try those out for size, for now.
