It evolved into mall emo (which wasn't as good), then mcr lost their touch, people realized that Fall out boy sucked in the mid 2010s, and they also realized that Panic at the Disco sucked in the late 2010s. With nothing to replace it pop punk died. Don't fucking talk to me about scramz or Midwest emo shit.
