if they are claiming House music is EDM then it was created in chicago and new york by african americans. i wouldn't say kraftwerk created it, they created electronic synth music but that isn't house or edm. electric disco is likewise not house nor edm.
edm is a late 2000s genre of music, before that it was House and other dance music genres. but EDM is the corporate major label USA version of House music put through a lense of lowest common denominator enshittification.
