I miss the world music trend of the 90's, early 2000's. There's no more contemporary music for sophisticated adults to listen to in places like coffee shops.

World music is normal music with 2 or 3 different instruments to give some kind of exotic flavor.

These compilations are so painfully bland. They fuck up very occasionally and put a memorable song on one of them but usually even when it is a good artist it is their worst work. Rough Guides are marginally better world music CDs.
