why will black artists only mention other black people as inspiration?
i swear, not once have i heard a black musician say a white person influenced them. it's almost like a monumental challenge to hear a black musician say a white persons name

I have not noticed this personally. In fact even black artists who are openly racist against whites seem to praise white music. I mean they're musicians so this isn't weird

Early rappers weren't like this. Any 80s rapper will openly admit that they stole from Kraftwerk.

i would rather they be genuine, i think xxxtenction once said "yeah i like emo music like papa roach", black people are going to have cringe taste in rock music and not even understand the genres, id rather they just be genuine and say they dont like it.

Without white culture you wouldn't have the things that you associate with it and the same thing with black culture. I don't think Gothness would of sprang up anywhere else besides Europe no where else on earth was death more prevalent then it was during the middle ages

I see it a lot now. Even if you're using naughty words but not saying anything about race.
https://desuarchive.org/mu/thread/126385936/#q126389858
also the guy ITT that got deleted wasn't being racist (as in hateful) either, beyond observing race in a way not overtly flattering nonwhites. So he got whacked for the wrong opinions. I love it here.

Why are there no black artists playing "white music?"
Social media is full of black kids playing metal or indie pop songs with guitar. Are they forced to start a rap career when they grow up?
