Languishing and doing nothing probably would have been worse for him.
He was a true entertainer though. "The show must go on." I'm sure he did it willingly. Guys like Ozzy want to give everything. Just like Elvis, nearly dying on stage in his last days, trying to sing his heart out. Or Bowie still recording to the last minute.
