What suspicious about it? Everybody loves Ordinary but no one cares about a full album. That happens a lot.

I don't understand how an artist can have a #1 hot 100 song for months but not sell over 100k. Its very hard to have a #1 song in general so I assume that singular song should do most of the heavy lifting. I like watching albums have maybe a song rank at 60 and another at 90 but the album sell 90k or more. Streaming in general doesn't make sense. Physical albums are where its at.

It's not the radio stations. I don't even know of anyone who uses those anymore, aside from maybe XM.
Blame a combination of his big hit playing well to platform algorithms and trends but not making people interested in his other work, and actual corruption from said online platforms.
Ordinary as I understand it became a popular song for zoomers to edit their TikToks to, and also became well-liked as a wedding/wife guy song. That part could all be explained by natural causes, but then those listeners didn't become invested enough to check out the album, so typical short time in the limelight/one or two hits wonder situation.

However, based on this, the platforms he got big on themselves also start straight-up showing their hand. Top comment on his new music video is from Team Youtube themselves.

Tecca had a massive streaming album. Multiple songs charted top 10 on the spotify chart. He only sold 48k.

It's gotta be sugared from his YouTube career. Surely there isn't a meaningful audiebce out there for an Alex Warren music career. Even actual youtuber musicians have a hard time getting noticed for their music itself. Look how many of 'em lose money touring.

Because heโ€™s a rookie artist in the industry without a huge fanbase.
Just wait till he starts touring.

Lars was right. Without records, without music for sale, there's no such countermeasure against the record labels. The companies now have total control to do and undo as they please.

24kgoldn's song "Mood" was #1 for 7 weeks back in 2020. His album 6 months later only sold 22k units 1st week. What's more important/valuable to have a #1 song or have an album that sells 100k 1st week?

That argument falls apart if you know literally anything at all about the history of payola and chart fixing before the streaming era, and aren't just a millionaire worried about his precious royalties.
