Listen to these songs and tell me they shouldn’t be a hit? I don’t get it.

I don’t get it. It seems like really good music. They’re just not popular here?

That’s like asking why isn’t Benee popular in the U.S. Their from outside the states. They didn’t break in like Lorde.

They had that one song from Melody A.M. that got played in a GEICO commercial. Other than that not much of a break in the states. I guess electronica is too smart of a genre for Americans.

They're in heavy rotation for my listening personally. And since you mentioned them, I'll listen to them again this afternoon

One of my favourite electronic acts, but I'm bong. They always did alright here.

It's not exactly that. There just weren't a lot of places to hear it. You had to watch specific music video channels or listen to college radio. The commercial radio industry which now only exists as a bloated corpse didn't have much of a place for it, outside of a few things like Daft Punk's One More Time. You needed to have pure pop appeal to break through back then.

I like them a lot but their sound is played out, and shaped for a more millennial audience.

To be fair though not even American artist make it big anymore.

oh. I don’t know if I sign up to the idea that their music is just for millennials. That’s like saying the Beatles aren’t inter generational. Their one tick tock away from being big in the U.S.
