Guys like Bryson Tiller are "huge" among Hood working class girls and Black Wife Guys but never reached the heights that Chris Brown reached in the 2000s

got killed off like many other genres when bill clinton signed the 1996 telecommunications act, and then r&b merged with hip hop. rap just got way bigger

But i think the 2010s death of r&b was over stated, you still had guys like the weekend and frank ocean, the list goes on!

Chris Brown can dance, Bryson can't, look at the biggest song he had from that album (Whatever She Wants) that music video is a big reason why, vocally Bryson is basically a Chris Brown copy. Weeknd doesn't come close to MJ in that department either, etc.
