How did he do it? Also does anyone know if his later works are worth listening? Been trying to get into Bardo Pond but they keep sounding like a tamer version of Royal Trux to me. They have great energy and some stunning pieces (Amen) but their studio albums without Roy are a bit jarring.

Thanks for the rec anon. I knew Bardo Pond but not this guy, he reminds me of John Fahey, specially to his late period.

Very grateful for this man's work, if I hadn't stumbled on Dadamah I never would have found the rest of the New Zealand scene and circled back to his solo stuff. I especially like his first 4 albums.

Of his? Not much outside the interludes from the same album. He learned to play piano for that record alone, but later started to play organ right into the next one and never looked back into classical piano again as far as I know.
