>Mustaine was raised as a Jehovah's Witness and is now a born again Christian. In 1988, in response to the British government's Section 28, Mustaine said: "More power to them. It says in the Bible that men should not lay with men like they lay with women. I mean I don't wanna fuck up and not go to heaven." In an answer to a question about Judas Priest having an overt homosexual image, Mustaine stated "I don't wanna talk about this."
>In a 1988 interview with Sounds journalist Roy Wilkinson, Mustaine spoke against illegal immigration, and stated that he would "build a great wall along the Mexican border and not let anybody in ..." if he were President of the United States.
>In an August 2012 Singapore performance on the tour to support the band's then-new album Thirteen, Mustaine expressed his views of President Obama and recent gun violence in the United States, making an accusation that Obama had staged the shootings at Aurora, Colorado, and a Wisconsin Sikh temple in order to push a gun control agenda, while engaging the audience during onstage banter in between songs.

In fact, listening to it now, this may actually be the greatest album ever made by an entire band of junkies. It's mad to think that they were borderline high, minimum, during some of those solos.

Chris fucking Poland man.

It has to be exaggerated because that is what everyone remembers from that album, that they were into heroin to the bones. Otherwise you're talking wasted talent, I mean listen to the Metallica demo or see Dave in Cliff'Em All, his guitar-playing is ten levels higher, both in composition, rhythm and solo

Big fan of Dave inc. but to call his lyrics philosophical and intellectual is going a bit far.

Yes peace sells, the rest of the album is just series B terror movie tier.
