the whole point of CD is the "lossless" audio. you may as well just listen to an mp3 if the player is converting the audio to shitty quality

You usually can turn skip protection off. It can still buffer the audio and provide some skip protection. Converting the audio to a compressed format was to save memory so you would have longer skip protection.

Holy shit you are gay. Just buy a Digital Audio Player. I recommend the one that costs five grand.

If you don't get one you'll never be patrician.

i got one because i don't like streaming, it was cheap and i look through the CD's at goodwill and buy ones that seem interesting. it's a fun way to find new music that i wouldn't have discovered otherwise

320 v0 is basically the same as lossless. You won't hear a difference through your airpods.

320 and v0 are totally different bitrates, and 320 is fixed while v0 (as implied by the name) is variable. Begone, zoomer

Problem easily solved by consulting the .log file included with any FLAC you would want to download

cd has always been lossless, so has bluetooth
>you may as well just listen to an mp3 if the player is converting the audio to shitty quality
what the fuck does that even mean? you realize mp3 players can have good dacs? and that dac chips have nothing to do with lossless audio formats

Bluetooth does support lossless with aptxHD.

Portable CD players do not convert data in the buffer and they do not compress audio down from 16 bit. The conversion rate time would not be fast enough to create a lossy file. Anyone old enough to remember using a converter software knows this fact.

I should add that bluetooth 6 will support multichannel audio and it's currently being developed in conjunction with Dolby for Flex Connect. You will be able to pair multiple bluetooth speakers for Dolby ATMOS compatibility soon.
