Yeah, I recently bought an album that had the cover labeled as NM even though it has a noticeable scratch on the front that destroys the artwork.

On the other hand I once bought an album cheap that was labeled as good but it was good+ if not very good.

Ive bought a ton of stuff from Discogs over the years, never had a problem. just pay attention to the seller rating I guess
but also the stuff I get from discogs is stuff I cant find anywhere else so its not like theres much choice if you want something rare and specific

It's gay that Discogs did away with selling bootlegs, yet I can see both sides of the issue, though for some bands, bootlegs are crucial pressings, hardcore in particular; picrel is a good example of a done right bootleg

It's always cheaper to buy from someone closer to your. If they're from another continent it's going to cost more. But if it's something rare and you really want it and no one close to you has it then I guess there's nothing you can do.

Do a credit card chargeback if they lie about the condition and you can't return for a refund.

I have bought stuff off of it a handful of times and have never had an issue with it.
