Anything funnier than these niggas requiring vaccination to attend their shows. They deserved even more shit than RATM got for doing the same.

Is this true? Source? What the shit. I thought Matt was very turned against most governmental commands (like the lockdown) and tendencies during the pandemic. The 2022 album Will Of The People was full of this "Let's overthrow the government!" sentiment. I read that he was mask-friendly and vaccinated (https://www.nme.com/big-reads/muse-cover-interview-2022-will-of-the-people-3243209), but didn't know he went to the point of being in favor of vaccine requirement for shows. Really weird. Makes me think about what the shit was that album really about. Afterall, these are seemingly two very distinct attitudes. There's no way to disguise it: "Compliance" was definitely a track against following the rules determined by the governments, or at least so thought I. The "Won't Stand Down" music video too was conveying an ambience of critique against domination by oligarchies. I don't get his mind now. Maybe he changed his opinion, regretted supporting what he supported and then decided acting the opposite of how he acted before, and doing basically whatever he felt like would "redeem" his past actions. I'm not saying he's all wrong or anything. It's normal to change one's worldview. I stopped listening to this album when I thought about the importance of the vaccine for older people, basically speaking, and probably also the lockdown, in general. But I'm not in favor of requiring it of everyone, especially younger people. So now I don't know what to make of it. His position was strange already, but has gotten stranger now. I think maybe I should just let him have his thought process, and just enjoy the music, especially the new music that he made after the pandemic "era (?)". Enjoying Muse again would be good. I haven't listened to them for some two years now.

>Matt already sees potential triggers for major upheaval everywhere. Referring to the storming of Washington’s Capitol Building last year, he says: “You have the January 6 situation in the United States and everyone for a minute there was like, ‘That could have been it. That could have been the trigger: civil war and boom! We’re off’. A tipping point. Then there’s a little moment where Biden comes in and everyone goes, ‘Ah, OK, let’s all pretend it’s normal again’, but it’s not is it? Then some psychopath comes along like Putin and authoritarianism starts to threaten everything that the West has stood for. It’s starting to get prodded. The system that we’re used to is now getting openly, violently prodded in our face.”

Lmao

Isn't it mad that only the usa has level-headed chiefs of state owing to the stability of democracy, while the rest of the world is an autocratic shithole where psychos rise to power? But in the end, the usa always prevail, an outcome also derived from the stability of democracy
