Am I the only one who thinks paranoid is super overrated? So many of the songs just go nowhere (electric funeral, fairies wear boots, paranoid) and a lot really overstay their welcome and are pretty repetitive even though they have their moments like war pigs and hand of doom. rat salad and planet caravan are boring filler also

electric funeral is the best song on the album. it is hard for me to judge paranoid objectively after hearing the three popular songs from it constantly for decades. I do think its the weakest of the first 7 albums yes I would rather listen to technical ecstasy. but this is all probably because of oversaturation of iron man and war pigs and the title track.
also original war pigs (walpurgis) is way better.

Now, I think everything the doors did is overrated. Sure you can cherry pick a few songs due to its innovative style but it is mostly just cringe worthy stuff.
