Why do people like Fantano appear to dismiss Frank Sinatra's contribution to jazz when he was admired by many jazz artists of his time?

Miles Davis himself wrote in his autobiography that he learned his phrasing from Frank:
"If I were to play with Frank Sinatra, I would play the way he sings, or do something complementary to the way he sings. I learned a lot about phrasing listening to the way Frank, Nat King Cole, and even Orson Welles phrased. I mean all those people are motherfuckers in the way they shape a musical line or sentence or phrase with their voice."

Cause Fagtano doesn't know shit about jazz. His favourite music is hipster metal, tranny punk (the 80s political hardcore garbage like Dead Kennedy's) and whatever hipster hip-hop pop ups

Why do Fantano’s music opinions illicit so much discussion?

Yeah, it's difficult to feel casually superior to people who discuss his takes when there's just SO much discussion. People on /mu/ who post in Fantano threads probably don't even realize how much better I am than they

The only reason he said this was because chud grifter girl shouted him out, and lefties can't be caught dead associating with any cultural artifact that's even tangentially associated with conservatism.

Just watched a video where he praised Dusty in Memphis, but Dusty not writing her own songs was not a problem for Fagtano. He picks his opinions based on the political opinions, race, gender, and sexual orientation of the artists' whose music he reviews.

It's because he did care about the (((cultural context))) of Jazz and Lauren Southern is a Chudette so he has to take a contrary position

Fantano is just sperging out. The context is that Southern was responding to the idea that there are no "great artists" among conservatives. As far as I can tell, she never mentioned Jazz.
And Fantano reframes her comment as if she is saying that Sinatra is her "go-to" jazz singer. She never said that - she just gave an example of a great artist. More than likely Southern doesn't even listen to Jazz at all.
Sinatra is not even a "jazz singer". He is a trad pop singer mostly, which generally overlaps a lot with Jazz.
And now OP is adding another layer of sperg. Because OP rushes in and starts discussing Sinatra's "contribution to jazz" which is also sort of besides the point.
Here's what Fantano got wrong: Sinatra was a good artist. He was a good singer. He wasn't hardcore "jazz" - but you don't have to be. Trad pop is a legitimate genre.
And saying "he didn't even write his best stuff" is just double retarded because that's irrelevant in both Jazz and Trad pop.
I think Jazz got appropriated by political movements after the fact. I don't totally buy the idea that the "cultural context" was "oppressed blacks fighting against conservative values." That's a post-hoc reframing from both liberals and conservatives. Jazz was just some cats who devoted their lives to music, even if it meant they didn't make much money. It was about the music, first and foremost. Yes, individual Jazz artists might have been political. They might even leaned to the left. But it's rare that the songs were overtly political.
