These late Kinks albums are actually quite good. Not their best obviously but way better than the stuff Paul Mccartney, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and others were doing in the 80s.

What I like about them a lot that they write songs about unconventional topics. Not love, sex and drugs like rest of the bands but nostalgia, economics, social struggles.
