A couple of months ago, I was listening to some old 1950s blues song that I'm certain contained the lyrics, "I'm not a butcher, but I'm a butcher's man/ I can handle some meat better than any butcher can; I'm not a plumber but I'm his friend/ I can lay more pipe than any plumber can." It may have been phrased slightly differently, but that's the gist of it. I'm trying to find the song again but the usual search engines have failed me. Does anyone know of a blues song with those lyrics? The sound was similar to Muddy Waters, Little Walter, etc.
>>127289993 (OP)Sure, it wasn't some Ai song?
>>127290215No, it was a real vintage song. That was the only "dirty" line in the whole song. The rest of it was pretty normal blues/ R&B from the era.
Update: I was able to figure it out. The song is "Better Watch Yourself" by Bo Diddley. It's effectively his version of "Mannish Boy" by Muddy Waters, which is why I connected the two.
Starting at about 1:30 into the song:
I ain't no plumber darlin'/ but I'm his friend
I can thread more pipe/ than a plumber can...
And at 1:58:
I ain't no butcher darlin'/ but I'm a butcher's man
I can handle some meat/ a little better than he can
>>127290347and there is not a single lyric in the song that resembles that outright bullshit you posted in the op, you turboretard
>>127290347"Mannish Boy" is already Muddy Waters' version of Bo Diddley's "I'm a Man"!
