when i listen to the end part of dogs by pink floyd and the narrator starts describing different ways the businessman has been treated like a dog i get a little hard
Why do people open their album with the biggest, best, and most draining song on the album that ends with a huge note of finality?
Father John Misty did this multiple times.
It makes me not want to listen to the rest of the album.
Imagine if Led Zeppelin IV started with Stairway to Heaven. Or The Black Parade started with Welcome to the Black Parade.
>>127294140I actually agree with you, Dogs should have been track 4, Sheep track 2.
>>127294140That victorious riff that ends Sheep is a perfect ending to the album and it ends it on a hopeful note
>>127292334 (OP)He's talking about cops you fucking retard, holy fuck, even when I was 12 years old I got that, you are actually mentally stunted
>>127296412The ending of Dogs literally sounds like an album ender.
>>127296434It can be interpreted in multiple ways but if I remember correctly, the song was meant to be about predatory businessmen. But I guess it can apply toward corrupt cops as well.
>>127296412The end of Sheep implies that the sheep have risen up in a mad fury to kill the dogs, who are only the grunts of the pigs. It implies cyclical violence that never solves the root of the problem.
>>127296470no it was always about cops
>>127296763Roger Waters disagrees. Apologise.
