I stopped following after Centipede Hz. I had no idea they'd been so active in the last 12 years. Guess I have some catching up to do.

Released after the chart was made. They're STILL releasing great music after 25 years since their formation. I don't think any other rock and roll band has ever done that.

Psychedelia is a subgenre of rock music. They've been a guitar/drum/bass band since the beginning with STGSTV. They're 100% rock.

Idk half the time the guitar is buried under synth or not there at all and they had a whole era just playing acoustics. Some of their songs at least are pretty far removed from rock and go into ambient and noise

Well yeah, musical technology has evolved since rock started in the 1940s-50s.
Still the same ethos.

Or go back to your Charlie XCX or Black Country New Road.
Music in the 2020s is in an abysmal state.

I predict they will have an enormous revival in 20 years with Gen A . Right now they lost all their air because of them being white, the press turned on them in favor of rap music. You millennials never realized just how niche the Animal Collective was. MPP and Strawberry Jam was as much about pitchfork as it was the music itself.

There stuff all sounds the same after 2016, painting with is ironically really good, everything ever since is just murmering over drone textures
