They're thin and the color is washed out. I always found it pretty creepy looking, which I don't think was the intention.

mapplethorpe took the picture and the band told the camera shop assistant to fuck with the coloring with his eyes closed. they said it resembled a warhol picture with the colors, but it does make the cover look evil

it sounds like a true ending, the way it fades out and everything in a dramatic fashion. probably the best on the album
>>127353252
absolutely not, his first two solo albums are great. its a shame television is only known for this album though, you're not wrong on that.

Something about this song and the second half of Marquee Moon entirely brings out my faint memories of the late 70s. They captured something of that time better than anybody else.

>The fade-out
I don't mind the fade-out, but fuck I would love to hear the rest of that solo. The beginning of the section they cut sounds pretty cool.
The Wonder is my personal favourite, honestly. An odd choice probably, but I've really warmed up to it over the years. Pillow, Prayer and August are so pretty.

>adventure isn't even that bad
My man. I like how chill it is. A very underrated counterpart to the tense and nocturnal Marquee Moon. Days is my personal favourite song of theirs. It's so lovely.
Also, the Fire's solo is among Tom's best.

I got called a soi for not understanding the album, then Tom Verlaine died and I was like, the best shit he ever did was influence REM.

I just wanted you guys to know this.
