They made you do it? That's not okay. You should reach out to your local police department.

Get this, it's about an old demented retard who over the course of 6 albums shits their pants more and more until they die.

The really fucked up thing about this project isn't that it was co-opted by zoomers to be about muh dementia or even that it served as the last dying gasp of vaporwave. To me, what's really insulting is that there exists this implication that nobody else in the world could make something like this... meanwhile half of it would be possible with just Audacity, and the other half is entry level production even by noise standards. What gets me too is that it's probably the first time a bunch of people listened to any one artist for 6 hours. News flash, if i made you listen to the Jarvid 9 trilogy in one sitting you'd end up depressed too.

I think most Caretaker fans would not have a problem with most of James Ferraro's catalog or fail to understand the concepts behind them. You're talking about people 10 years younger than you (i hope), not aliens.

I just don't get how making it 6 hours long builds on what he already did on An Endless Bliss Beyond This World.

Holy fucking shit. That truly is awful. Outside of this shitty trendy "project", no one will ever devote any time to listening to another album in whole.

His entire gimmick is making dementia jumpscare music. That's all he does. It's marketed as "spooky dementia simulator!!" to get middleschoolers and highschoolers all scared

Yes. My question was how making it longer added to the concept. Fuck I've been on a tear lately of people replying to me and completely ignoring what I was talking about. Why did you even reply to me? Can you read?

That's the point. It doesn't. It's like when you constantly repost something hoping it gains traction at a point. The Caretaker keeps retreading the same ground hoping that at least one of the projects about the same fucking thing takes off.

there is no such implication. you're imagining things
people like the product itself and are glad that someone (in this case, The Caretaker) created it, but I guarantee you that if the creator started hyping himself up as some sort of genius people online would call him a pussy and say "dude you just added noise to old music" even on places like reddit

I'm 30 years old and I briefly had that same feeling of reading creepypastas at 2am like back in high school when I tried listening to this album, but then I realized that's gay and it broke the illusion
I wish I could still have fun with stuff like that
