Really disagree. Yea it's pop but it makes explicit attempts to simulate psychedelic experiences like playing guitars backwards, and the whole 'feel' just fits that psychedelic euphoria so well. Meanwhile MBV is cultivating the feeling of a dream, not of a trip. This is closely related to psychedelia, but distinct. Despite the genres, I'd group MBV closer to vaporware like 2814 than 60s psychedelia for this reason.
I want to point out how sad it is that tmorrow never knows is only 3 minutes long. that song deserves to be 6-10 minutes, and the LP had enough spare time. A missed oportunity to make the album better

Yea I really feel the same, it's why I wanted to ask if there are any songs out that there (better yet albums) that capture the same feeling. Given how popular LSD was at the time you'd think making more music like this would be obvious!

well that sound required a lot of complicated (and expensive) studio techniques, so, ofcourse it wasnt replicated.
Heres a similar song: Kaleidoscope (UK) - music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jROrGUTwnWw
Silent Hill 2 OST (Akira Yamaoka) - The Reverse Will
Maybe Rusted Root - Primal Scream but that's kinda personal cause I had an insane trip while this was playing idk if it fits as exactly "trippy" but its a recommendation anyway
