one of those bands where every pick for favorite album is valid. (unless they release an underwhelming reunion album) they have one of the tightest discographies in rock

is it controversial to say scott > travis

I just wish it wasn't so low-budget. The songs themselves are top-tier.

you’re so wrong
j’nuh and iscarabaid are both top ten, if not top five sunny day songs. 5/4 and theo b are also way up there for me. theres only nine songs and none of them are bad imo.

genuinely baffling opinion
its teenage era pop punk
the low production value is what makes it compelling
you want high production values for pop punk rather than the ability to hear the earnestness and raw energy/sound?

It is never mentioned in the same vein as the shape of punk to come but it is more concise and less pretentious than the shape of punk to come. They aren't just ripping off fugazi here.

It's funny looking at Stephen Street's production credits on wikipedia. It's all 80s indie, 90s Britpop and 00s Landfill indie and in the middle there's this Promise Ring album like someone added it by mistake.

For me it's Deadwing, but I'm not sure if it counts as it's still fairly popular. Not as popular as IA & FOABP though.
