And you’re making an argument that is completely unaligned with reality. Almost every man is attracted to women that are physically sexually developed, so the fact that that “15 year old” has “really big tits” is non negotiable and matters and defines what she is, not some abstraction about mental capacities. We’re drawing a line about what is an adult and a child, and we can use a clear physical sign that she is a biological adult via sexual traits everyone can see, whereas you will use “mental maturity” which is completely arbitrary, set at an arbitrary age of 18, for no reason, and no reason that it can’t be lower OR higher.
It’s a nonsense argument.
In the wild, no one would know anyone’s ages, they would be able to tell what someone who is sexually developed or prepubescent looks like though.
No one is saying they don’t understand why age of consent laws exist, you don’t have to explain that. But you also don’t get to arbitrarily draw that line where you want, because this society and culture is obsessed with infantilizing young adults, because they are uncomfortable with female and male sexuality.
It only makes sense, and nothing more, to draw the line at an age that actually reflects a physical maturity, because those traits aren’t arbitrary.
If not, why not higher than 18. Why not 21, or 23, or 25?
