How come we dont talk about Flocka?
Guys like Gucci Mane and Chief Keef are getting a pretty big
resurgence with the kids but I never see Mr. Flocka in the convo. What happened to his legacy? I feel like he was just as important as those guys
and his music still goes stupid hardd

>inb4 its cRap

I think Gucci Mane and Chief Keef were just a little bit more interesting artistically and more influential.
Chief Keef first of all directly influenced the whole wave of Soundcloud rappers that would go more for a sing songy autotuned flow. His music then influenced Yung Lean and Bladee who would go on to be the blueprint of TODAY's zoomer rap and also the weird mixing and beats from some of Chief Keef's lesser known mixtapes would also inform a lot of today's zoomer rap as well.

Gucci Mane is just straight up the blueprint of all modern trap period. The drum samples from the beats from that period of time are still being used to this day.

You forgot T.I.
Dude made an album called Trap Muzik.
Trends change and people get lost in time. Mr Flocka Flame had a good 3 years and eventually stopped being what the kids were listening to. Chief Keef arguably had a much bigger impact on modern rap than flocka even if flocka had something to do with it. That is how big Chief Keef was. It was before keef and after keef
