Happy Halloween /mu/! Today I listened to this album “The Devil and God are raging inside me” by Brand New, because it seems like it fit the Halloween spirit. But I was actually pretty disappointed after a couple of listened. It feels very much like generic indie rock, it was almost cheesy to me. Maybe it’s because I’m not really into emo music, idk. Anyways, what are your favorite Halloween albums and/or songs?

My favorite album is one I found on a fluke years ago. I've never really been able to find much information about the artists except that it's a project of instrumentalist Asger Baden.

It's called The One You Left Behind. It's a mildly kooky spooky hipster jazz album with big surf rock energy. Hard to picture unless you're listening to it. Think skeletons surfing Daytona and drinking IPAs on the beach. Even if it's not your style of music, it's definitely interesting.

then it turns out it's just shitty pop rock from the 00's. Listening t Brand New is like listening to Wherever you will go by The Calling, or Nickelback.
