Pink Elephant is a shockingly intriguing listen, I'll take that, Reflector (the 2013 Bowie album is stupid underrated), and the Spike Jonze her soundtrack
Funeral is overrated, so is The Suburbs, not bad but overplayed and cliche cheese at this point pitchfork has a lot to do with that perception
And for what those albums are they still aren't bad? I'm just confused cause I was brainwashed on Pitchfork for a good chunk of my youth. Wasn't a waste cause of all the dope music I found but their writers are headass cunts too afraid to make meaningful art. The whole narrative of the kids in the neighborhood "fighting the powers that b" is boring af I ate up the album cycle hype at the time and Pitchfork's BNM review and regret it
Funeral is an overbearing mess of forced melancholy it was all fun at the time to believe Pitchfork but ugh their opinion fermented into dumpster waste
Make up your own mind when listening to Arcade Fire, because the hype machine ruined this band for me
