That's twice I've seen you post this, so I want to hear some explanation. Isn't it normally regarded as one of their best? I find it not nearly as compelling as Black Metal Baptism or the splits, but I really struggle to enjoy the last two Behexen albums. I don't like their muddy downtuned sound and death metal production, and they don't have the same type of melodic riffs. And Rituale Satanum doesn't seem that good to me either. So that leaves My Soul For His Glory as at least their second best full-length. What do you dislike about it and/or why do you prefer the others?

I never liked Sunbather particularly back when every hipster was obsessed with it and every Black Metal fan wanted them dead, and was never crazy about any of their music and kind of had written them off years ago. Then this year I heard about the album coming out, wasn't going to bother checking it out but I saw their recent performance on KEXP and enjoyed it. I am not huge into Blackgaze, but I have always separately enjoyed Black Metal and Shoegaze, and I feel like it can sometimes be effective, sometimes not.

What are /nbbmn/'s thoughts on this album? I never really liked Kekht Arakh but listened to Pale Swordsman a few times when it came out, this seems like more of the same concept. I saw people went crazy over this album because of the cover and then accused it of being designed with AI, and then the music itself being AI. I'm listening to it at the moment, and it's ultimately not horrendous to listen to at all. Thoughts?
