That's why. 'ol Frank started robinson with the idea of making certified helicopters affordable to the common man as fancy commuter aircraft. While they fell well short of being commonly affordable, they're still some of the most capable and cheapest to run aircraft in their class. Semi rigid is part of that cost to manufacter and maintain
