N216MH was the registration. Took off from wall street Heliport, flew up around the tip of Manhattan, and crashed in the river between Hoboken and Manhattan.

Some outlets reporting all 6 dead.

It was a family from spain.

Eyewitness reports hearing a loud boom before witnessing the helicopter breaking up in-flight

Commuter ferry approaching the wreck moments after the crash. It looks like the chopper came dangerously close to striking the Holland Tunnel ventilation shaft.
