>>2039202 (OP)>bus drivers get really frustrated ..at time innefficient passengersMajority of the transit drivers in my community are pretty cool. I've seen them stop before stops to pick up the old lady trying to run to the bus stop, or people who are a bit tardy getting to their stops. It happens. But they do have some pet peeves.
Like, how hard is it for people to show up 5 minutes before the bus AND have your fare ready? Apparently for many it's near impossible. The people still paying cash are faster than the dumb fucks using the Umo app on their cell phones.
Nothing like standing in line waiting for the cell phone zombie up front start swiping their phone screen trying to get a QR code. Then the next person, who you'd think would use the delay to get his/her phone ready, nope! Now they're swiping their lock screen... looking at their phone like they're seeing such a device for the first time in their life. The next person is pretty much doing the same. <sigh> And on it goes. It seems to be mostly high school & university students that exhibit this collective retardation. It's quite boggling to observe. Some days are better though.
Oh and don't forget the teenagers carrying their new iPhones, drinking a $5 iced capp, carrying shopping bags with video games or something, whining to the driver that they're short on the $2.50 bus fare..
>No. Start walking kid.>But but it's raining out and even though it's winter I don't have a warm jacket or hat! And I live downtown.<facepalm>
Yeah, riding transit can sometimes be a daily reminder at why we're pretty much cattle. kek!
